The project Culture Back in the Centre was launched on 4 February with the presentation of a book by Trieste-based author Bogomila Kravos Un teatro per la citta (Theatre in its place), presenting the history of the Slovenian Theatre House (SSG) in Trieste.

On 10 February documentary Doberdob - Roman upornika (Doberdob - a novel of a revel) by Trieste-based director Martin Turk was screened. The film presents the ordeal of the only Slovenian autobiographic novel on WWI and portrays its author Lovro Kuhar, whose pen name is Prežihov Voranc (1893-1950).

On Saturday, 13 February, the first guided tour of the Slovenian historical, artistic and literary heritage in Trieste was organised, with the second one to take place this Sunday.

This evening a Slovenian-Italian theatre production Kako postati Slovenci v 50 minutah (How to become Slovenian in 50 minutes) will be played at the city's Slovenian theatre house SSG.

The comic play, directed by Sabrina Morena, is a one-hour slide show presentation of the Slovenian manners and customs and the language featuring actor Daniel Dan Malalan and accordion player Boštjan Zavnik.

The month of Slovenian culture, organised for the third year in a row by the Slovenski klub and Skupina 85 associations, will conclude with the opening of the permanent exhibition at the Narodni dom cultural centre in Trieste, a symbol of the Slovenian fight against fascism.

The exhibition entitled 110ND, opening in early March, will present the historical context of the city at the turn of the century with the emphasis on the Narodni dom, a stronghold of the Slovenian minority in Italy that was burnt down by Fascists in 1920.
